Rod G. Rod founded and chaired the LONG-TERM HEALTH CARE LAW IN GEORGIA for ten years. He now chairs the annual FUNDAMENTALS OF HEALTH LAW seminars for the Georgia Institute for Continuing Legal Education and often serves as Adjunct Professor of Healthcare Law for the University of St. Francis. In addition to serving as the hearing officer in medical staff matters for hospitals and healthcare organizations throughout Georgia, Rod also acts as a member of the Task Force on Trustee Development for the Georgia Hospital Association and authored the chapter on Medical Staff Matters in the current Georgia Hospital Law Manual. In the corporate arena, Rod serves as General Counsel to corporations in the transportation, grocery, textile, manufacturing, and insurance industries. He has been chosen by his peers on several occasions as one of the Best Lawyers in the Healthcare Law field, Georgia Super Lawyers, and is listed in the national publication Best Lawyers in America. He has also been listed in various "Who's Who" publications on numerous occasions. A native of Manchester, Georgia, Rod graduated cum laude from GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY, where he served as Student Body President. After 3 years of active duty as an officer in the U.S. COAST GUARD, Rod graduated from THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA SCHOOL OF LAW where he was chosen Best Oralist in the Senior Moot Court Competition. Rod is the father of two daughters, an Elder and a former Sunday School teacher at McDonough Presbyterian Church, a past Chair of the Georgia Southern University Foundation, and is a senior member (and past President) of the McDonough Kiwanis Club.

For almost 30 years Jim Macie has served as one of the Atlanta area's premier family and domestic relations lawyers. A graduate of THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA SCHOOL OF LAW, Jim has chaired the Family Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association and, as early as 1984, authored the FAMILY LAW CHAPTER of the Georgia Lawyers Basic Practice Handbook. Jim is a frequent speaker on domestic relation topics at Continuing Legal Education seminars, having delivered presentations on "Child Custody and Visitation," "The Utilization of Private Investigators in Domestic Relation Cases," as well as basic overview and legal update lectures on ever changing area of Family Law. Having spent nine years as a Roman Catholic priest prior to entering law school, Jim has a unique background to counsel and assist clients in the often traumatic and very personal aspects of domestic relations law. Jim is a graduate SIENA COLLEGE, where he graduated summa cum laude. Prior to attending law school at the University of Georgia, Jim attended graduate school in theology, with additional graduate studies in law and literature at the University of Georgia. Jim was born in Buffalo, New York and has lived in the Atlanta area for over thirty five years. His hobbies and interests include travel, reading, theater, music, jogging, animals, football and horse racing.

Terri Sutton joined Meadows & Macie, P.C. after a successful stint serving family law clients at the international law firm of McKENNA, LONG AND ALDRIDGE in Atlanta. As the firm's newest partner, Terri continues to provide a full range of family law services including adoption, divorce, separate maintenance, custody, child support and visitation modifications, prenuptial agreements, grandparent visitation, paternity, legitimation, family violence protective orders, and service as a Guardian Ad Litem. She also handles Wills and general estate matters. Well-versed in traditional litigation, Terri also has the distinction of being Henry County's only member of THE COLLABORATIVE LAW INSTITUTE OF GEORGIA. As a trained collaborative attorney, Terri gives clients additional options and flexibility in handling their case. Terri holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and worked as a Family Therapist prior to joining the legal profession, giving her a unique skill set and perspective. Terri has been a resident of Henry County for sixteen years, and began her legal career at SMITH, WELCH, AND BRITTAIN. She and her husband reside in Locust Grove with their two children.

Stephen Morris has been advising and defending clients at Meadows & Macie since 2007. His clientele includes small business owners as well as mid-size to large corporations involved in a wide range of business areas including healthcare, local development, trade associations, retail grocery, transportation, publishing and the arts. As an advisor, Stephen Morris counsels clients on issues including corporate formation, contract interpretation and disputes, employment law, and regulatory law with a focus on profitability by avoiding and reducing litigation risks. Stephen also defends clients when litigation or administrative action is threatened. He has experience in litigation matters involving employment and non-compete contracts, buy-sell agreements and defending tort actions involving premises liability, commercial trucking and professional negligence. In addition to direct involvement in litigation, he also coordinates litigation on a national basis for the Professional Photographers of America Indemnification Trust. He has defended clients before the EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY COMMISSION, the OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ADMINISTRATION and the GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF LABOR. In addition to assisting in general corporate needs. Stephen also works with healthcare providers and hospitals on issues specific to that highly regulated field. He advises healthcare clients in risk management issues, defends medical malpractice claims and has extensive experience in dealing with EMTALA compliance and defense. Stephen is also involved in his community. He is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Henry and has served on the executive board of Henry County's emergency children's shelter, A Friend's House, since 2007. He is also a "G" level certified soccer coach for the Henry County Soccer Association and is a cum laude graduate of GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW. Stephen is admitted to practice in before the Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for Georgia's Northern District, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Eric is the newest Associate at Meadows & Macie, P.C. and has been with the firm since 2008. He practices in the areas of healthcare law, transactional matters, and corporate defense. In the healthcare law arena, Eric's practice focuses primarily on navigating the maze of regulatory and compliance issues facing hospitals, health systems, physician groups, and individual providers. He has significant experience in assisting clients through Georgia's CERTIFICATE OF NEED regulations and also advises clients on licensure, accreditation, professional service contracts, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and compliance, and fraud and abuse. A considerable portion of Eric's practice is also dedicated to corporate contract and tort defense. Eric graduated from THE MERCER UNIVERSITY WALTER F. GEORGE SCHOOL OF LAW and was the recipient of the prestigious Woodruff Scholarship. While in law school, he served on the Moot Court Executive Board, interned for the Hon. S. Phillip Brown of the Macon Judicial Circuit, and clerked with the law firm of Meadows & Macie. He received his Bachelor in Business Administration in the area of Corporate Finance, cum laude and with honors, from THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA TERRY COLLEGE OF BUSINESS. Eric's hobbies include travel, computer programming, and photography.
