Rod G. For almost 30 years Jim Macie has served as one of the Atlanta area's premier family and domestic relations lawyers. A graduate of THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA SCHOOL OF LAW, Jim has chaired the Family Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association and, as early as 1984, authored the FAMILY LAW CHAPTER of the Georgia Lawyers Basic Practice Handbook. Terri Sutton joined Meadows & Macie, P.C. after a successful stint serving family law clients at the international law firm of McKENNA, LONG AND ALDRIDGE in Atlanta. As the firm's newest partner, Terri continues to provide a full range of family law services including adoption, divorce, separate maintenance, custody, child support and visitation modifications, prenuptial agreements, grandparent visitation, paternity, legitimation, family violence protective orders, and service as a Guardian Ad Litem. She also handles Wills and general estate matters. Well-versed in traditional litigation, Terri also has the distinction of being Henry County's only member of THE COLLABORATIVE LAW INSTITUTE OF GEORGIA. As a trained collaborative attorney, Terri gives clients additional options and flexibility in handling their case. Terri holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and worked as a Family Therapist prior to joining the legal profession, giving her a unique skill set and perspective. As an advisor, Stephen Morris counsels clients on issues including corporate formation, contract interpretation and disputes, employment law, and regulatory law with a focus on profitability by avoiding and reducing litigation risks. Stephen also defends clients when litigation or administrative action is threatened. He has experience in litigation matters involving employment and non-compete contracts, buy-sell agreements and defending tort actions involving premises liability, commercial trucking and professional negligence. In addition to direct involvement in litigation, he also coordinates litigation on a national basis for the Professional Photographers of America Indemnification Trust. He has defended clients before the EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY COMMISSION, the OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ADMINISTRATION and the GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF LABOR. Eric is the newest Associate at Meadows & Macie, P.C. and has been with the firm since 2008. He practices in the areas of healthcare law, transactional matters, and corporate defense. In the healthcare law arena, Eric's practice focuses primarily on navigating the maze of regulatory and compliance issues facing hospitals, health systems, physician groups, and individual providers. He has significant experience in assisting clients through Georgia's CERTIFICATE OF NEED regulations and also advises clients on licensure, accreditation, professional service contracts, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and compliance, and fraud and abuse. A considerable portion of Eric's practice is also dedicated to corporate contract and tort defense. Eric graduated from THE MERCER UNIVERSITY WALTER F. GEORGE SCHOOL OF LAW and was the recipient of the prestigious Woodruff Scholarship. While in law school, he served on the Moot Court Executive Board, interned for the Hon. S. Phillip Brown of the Macon Judicial Circuit, and clerked with the law firm of Meadows & Macie.
