James J. Macie

For almost 30 years Jim Macie has served as one of the Atlanta area's premier family and domestic relations lawyers. A graduate of THE UNIVERSITY OF
GEORGIA SCHOOL OF LAW, Jim has chaired the Family Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association and, as early as 1984, authored the FAMILY LAW CHAPTER of
the Georgia Lawyers Basic Practice Handbook. Jim is a frequent speaker on domestic relation topics at Continuing Legal Education seminars, having
delivered presentations on "Child Custody and Visitation," "The Utilization of Private Investigators in Domestic Relation Cases," as well as basic overview
and legal update lectures on ever changing area of Family Law. Having spent nine years as a Roman Catholic priest prior to entering law school, Jim has a
unique background to counsel and assist clients in the often traumatic and very personal aspects of domestic relations law. Jim is a graduate SIENA
COLLEGE, where he graduated summa cum laude. Prior to attending law school at the University of Georgia, Jim attended graduate school in theology,
with additional graduate studies in law and literature at the University of Georgia. Jim was born in Buffalo, New York and has lived in the Atlanta
area for over thirty five years. His hobbies and interests include travel, reading, theater, music, jogging, animals, football and horse racing.
